All About Me

Hi, I’m Brittany! I’m a birth doula serving families in the Dayton area. I’ve been part of the birth world in one way or another for over a decade. Birth has always been a passion of mine, and I truly believe every birth is unique and deserves to be honored as such.

My love for this work began in high school, when I had the chance to job shadow a labor and delivery nurse—a day I’ll never forget. That experience planted a seed that grew even stronger after I gave birth to my own son. Walking through my own birth journey made it clear to me that supporting others through theirs was exactly what I was meant to do.

Alongside my doula training, I also bring a medical background as a high-risk OB sonographer. For years, I’ve worked closely with maternal–fetal specialists to monitor complicated pregnancies, interpret ultrasounds, and translate medical terms into everyday language. This experience allows me to help you collaborate confidently with care teams while making sure you feel informed, supported, and empowered.

My journey with birth work has also been shaped by my time as a gestational surrogate. Carrying a baby for another family gave me a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and logistical layers of pregnancy from more than one perspective. It’s an experience that continues to guide the way I hold space for others.

At home, I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for 9 years, and together we’re raising our sweet 3-year-old son. When I’m not supporting families, you’ll usually find me soaking up time with them.

Supporting people through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
